Who we serve
Seniors 60+
- Age 60 or older*
- At any income, from a family home to an assisted living suite
- Living in or moving to or from anywhere in Idaho
- Moving from a house, apartment, or senior community
*A senior is a person 60 or older. We use age 60 to match the federal Older Americans Act definition used by Idaho’s Commission on Aging.
Ask about our Senior Veterans Fund, for veterans 60+. Gifts given specifically for veterans help cover moves for senior veterans 60+. Learn about the Senior Veterans Fund.

How we decide on assistance
When funds are limited, assistance goes to the greatest need, such as:
- Seniors on a fixed income with little savings
- Moves to assisted living or memory care
- Urgent moves after a hospital stay
- Seniors with no family nearby
Three ways to pay
The same care at every price
After the free visit, Pathways gives you a custom quote. Seniors 60+ can book at our standard rate, and a sliding scale is available for those who qualify.
Standard quote
Custom quote
For seniors 60+ paying the standard rate. The same specialized care, fair pricing, booked in 4 to 8 hour blocks, and your move helps fund assistance for another senior.
Assistance: shared cost
Sliding scale
You pay 25% or 50% of our standard rate, based on household income up to 400% of federal poverty guidelines. Donations and grants cover the rest when funds are available. No surprises: it’s all in writing first.
Full assistance
$0
For seniors with household income at or below 150% of federal poverty guidelines. Donations and grants cover the full move when funds are available.
Our promise, honestly
Our aim is that no senior goes without help just because they can’t pay. Assistance depends on the gifts we’ve raised. If we can’t help right away, we’ll say so plainly, hold your place, and point you to other help.
What we’ll ask
- Name, age, and town of the person moving
- Where they’re moving, and when
- For the sliding scale: household size and income, and one document, like a benefits letter, if grant funds are used
- Who else should be in the loop (family, community staff)
What we can’t do (yet)
- Hazardous materials or biohazard cleanup
- Medical transport
- Estate sales (we’ll refer you to trusted local help)
Questions
About qualifying
Do I have to prove my income?
We keep it simple. At the free visit we’ll ask about household size and income, which we compare with federal poverty guidelines. If grant funds pay for any part of your move, we ask to see one document, like a benefits letter or a tax return. We keep it private.
Is there a waitlist?
Sometimes. Assistance depends on the gifts we’ve raised. If we can’t help right away, we’ll tell you plainly, offer a spot on our list, and point you to other help.
