Privacy and donor policy

How Summit Pathways Foundation, Inc. handles the information you share with us.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Our promise

We never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone for their marketing.

What we collect

  • When you give: your name, contact details, gift amount and date, and any notes or tribute details you choose to share. Card and bank details are handled by our donation platform, Zeffy, and its payment partners. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • When you ask for help: what you tell us about the move and, if you ask about the sliding scale, your household size and income. We keep this private and use it only to plan your move and set your rate under our sliding scale.
  • When you send a form on this website: what you type into it. Your message is emailed to [email protected] through our website’s email service. If that service is unavailable, the form opens your own email app instead, and nothing reaches us until you press send there.
  • When you ask for the Pathways monthly update: your email address and when you asked.
  • When you visit our website: we do not use advertising trackers or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. The donation form on our Donate page is provided by Zeffy under its own privacy terms.

How we use it

To process gifts and send receipts, plan and carry out moves, send updates you asked for, meet legal and tax requirements, and keep honest records.

Who sees it

Only the board members and volunteers who need it for that purpose, and service providers who help us operate (for example, our donation platform and email provider) under their own privacy terms. Moving crews see only what they need for moving day.

Your name in public

We show your name on our website or in reports only if you say yes. You can give anonymously. Anonymous gifts count fully toward any goal or match.

Testimonials and photos

We share a family’s testimonial or photo only with their written permission, and we use first names or changed names.

Story and photo retention

When a senior, family, client, or donor agrees to share their story, photo, or name, we may feature it on our website and in our materials for up to twelve months. After that, we remove it from public view and keep it only in a private internal archive that is never shown publicly. We may remove it sooner at our discretion, for example to make room for a new holiday promotion. You can also ask us to remove it sooner at any time by calling 208.740.7521 or emailing [email protected].

Email

Every email has a way to stop. Reply “no thanks” or use the unsubscribe link, and we remove you, usually the same day.

Families we help

Help is never tied to a donation, and giving never affects the help a family receives.

Keeping it safe

We store records in password protected accounts and limit access. We keep gift records as long as tax rules require and delete move planning details we no longer need.

Your choices

Ask us to see, correct, or delete your information (except records we must keep for taxes) at [email protected] or by mail.
