Ways to give
Every way to give is a way to lift
Money, a monthly gift, a truck, a box of tape, a match for a campaign, or a gift in someone’s memory. Here’s how each one helps.
Tribute gifts
Honor someone who carried you
Give in honor of a birthday or a retirement, or in memory of a parent or grandparent. We’ll send a card to the person or family you name (we never mention the amount).
The greatest gift you can give is to lift others up when they need it most.
In kind gifts
Our moving day wish list
Things that go straight to work on real moves. In kind gifts may be tax deductible; we’ll send a receipt describing what you gave.

We’d love
- A box truck or cargo van that runs well, with a clear title
- Furniture dollies, hand trucks, and straps
- Moving pads and blankets
- New boxes, tape, and packing paper
- Bubble wrap and mattress bags
- Tool kits and furniture assembly tools
- Fuel gift cards
- Storage unit time for short term holds
- Printing, accounting, or legal help (pro bono)
- Gently used furniture and household goods (we may pass them to a senior setting up their next home or sell them, for example on Facebook Marketplace, with every dollar going to moves)
We can’t accept
- Used mattresses
- Hazardous materials, paint, or chemicals
Have something else? Ask. If we can’t use it, we’ll try to point you to someone who can.
Business sponsors
Put your business on the path
Local businesses can sponsor moves for seniors 60+, or help fund moving trucks and trailers. See every level on our Sponsors page.
Double every gift: become a match sponsor
A business or family pledges to match gifts, up to an amount you choose, during a campaign like year end or Idaho Gives. Research shows a simple 1:1 match inspires donors just as much as bigger ratios, so even a modest match goes a long way.1
We only announce matches that are real, and we name the sponsor (with permission).
More ways to give
Workplace & matching gifts
Many employers match employee gifts or pay for volunteer hours. Ask your HR team, and name Summit Pathways Foundation, Inc. (EIN 33-2628196).
Donor advised funds & stock
Recommend a grant from your donor advised fund to Summit Pathways Foundation, Inc., EIN 33-2628196. Choosing “where it is needed most” as the grant purpose keeps it simple. To give stock, email us first so we can help it arrive safely.
IRA gifts (QCD)
If you’re 70½ or older, you can give straight from a traditional IRA. This is called a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD. The IRS limit for 2026 is $111,000 per person.
- Ask your IRA custodian to send the gift directly to Summit Pathways Foundation, Inc., EIN 33-2628196, 11484 W Allegro St, Nampa, ID 83651.
- Let us know it’s coming. Custodian checks sometimes arrive without your name, and we want to thank you.
- We’ll send a written acknowledgment for your records.
- To count for 2026, the gift has to leave your IRA by December 31. Custodians get busy at year end, so starting early helps.
IRS rules apply. For example, a QCD can’t go to a donor advised fund. Please talk with your tax advisor about how a QCD fits your situation.
